Stan has an undergraduate degree in Biology from LaSalle University. He worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 13 years. He then completed a Master’s degree in Divinity and worked as a priest in an active ministry for more than 20 years. In 2008, he began his career in counseling with an emphasis on Drug and Alcohol Addiction. At the age of 75, he continues to be amazed by people who have woven themselves in the fabric of his life, holding it together, and giving him hope in the human condition.

Sam has served the state of NJ in the parole board and as a probation officer for over 25 years. He started his career as a counselor for the Atlantic County Department of Corrections then worked in Probation for three years. After that he worked for the NJ State Parole Board for 21 years. After retiring from Parole in April 2023, he immediately went back to work for the Egg Harbor Township school system and NJ State Probation writing reports for the courts.
Sam now counsels First Responders who have experienced trauma in the field and behind the scenes. He has a degree in social work from Stockton University and is continuing his education in the social service field by obtaining the Certified Drug Alcohol Counseling (CADC) certification.

He is a detective with the Somers Point Police Department and has previous experience as a detective with the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office. He is a Resiliency Instructor and instructs sections of the Atlantic County Police Resiliency Training. He is also a certified Fire Instructor Level 1 and instructs firefighters in an hands-on and classroom environment.
Peter has worked as a Behavioral Assist, implementing behavioral strategies with youth and families. He has worked in in-community and in-home settings with at-risk youth and their families referred for services by State agencies.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Stockton University and has received several merit and distinguished service awards from the Hamilton Township Police Department, the Somers Point Police Department, and Boy Scouts of America.

Leo is certified in Color Energy / Chromotherapy (CCE); he utilizes color psychology and somatic awareness to support emotional regulation and self-expression. He is also a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) with experience supporting individuals in early and sustained recovery. Leo has spent 24 years as a professional tattoo artist, specializing in visual storytelling and symbolism, with extensive experience in intentional, trauma-informed, and client-centered art processes. He has spent 6 years in personal recovery, bringing lived experience, empathy, and peer-informed practice into therapeutic spaces.

Laurel has been a human resources executive, manager, and generalist for over a decade. She has a Master’s degree in Human Resource Training and Development and experience in various healthcare specialties, including Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery, Mental Health Treatment, Partial Care, Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Residential and Vocational Training Programs, and Gastroenterology. Laurel loves living near the shore, and in her free time enjoys swimming, the beach, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and dogs.

Michael DiMarco has been with The Crossroads Companies for over 20 years and brings extensive experience in sales, marketing, strategic partnerships, and business development. He is passionate about his career and the positive impact The Crossroads Companies has on the communities it serves. As part of a dedicated team, Michael works to help individuals achieve lasting recovery and improved mental wellness by connecting them with the support, structure, and evidence-based services they need to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
A resident of Egg Harbor Township for more than 31 years, Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rutgers University, where he was a varsity NCAA wrestler for the Scarlet Knights.
Throughout his career, Michael has been actively involved in community service and professional leadership. His past and current roles include serving as Lacrosse Program Coordinator for the Egg Harbor Township Police Athletic League (PAL), President of the Kiwanis Club of Egg Harbor Township, Chapter Secretary of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA), New Jersey Chapter, and Chairman of the Professional Advisory Committee on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (PACADA) for Atlantic County Government.
Above all, Michael is a devoted husband and father who believes in giving back to his community and helping others build healthier, more meaningful lives.

Eric Nilson is our First Responder and Veterans Affairs (VA) Specialist on the Greenbranch team. Eric retired after 25 years of service at the Atlantic County Justice facility ending his career as a Lieutenant (Shift Commander). He has been working with Bluestone Services USA as a Consultant and has been directly involved with the First Responder population at Greenbranch for our trauma informed “Firstbranch” track. On his days off, Eric likes the beach, hiking, golf and travelling. He enjoys meeting new people and trying out new activities.

Zachary is a former Probation Officer and an Acenda staff member. He completed his Bachelor’s degree from Rowan University in 2016. After graduating with a Law and Justice Degree, he was hired as a Probation officer for the State of NJ and located in Camden County, NJ. He worked there from 2017 to 2026. He left probation to work as a Peer Recovery Specialist at the Sheriff’s department in Atlantic County and then worked for Acenda as a Prevention Consultant before joining Behavioral Crossroads.
In his current role, he enjoys building relationships with other providers in the area and meeting new people. He really enjoys going out of my way and helping people get the treatment they deserve to better their future.
